Well done for hosting this Paula, especially in the middle of a house move. You must like stress!!
Thank you, Karen. I’m winging it at the moment and praying Dewithon doesn’t go horribly wrong this year! 🤣
I won’t be able to take part in the challenge but there’s already a lot here to contemplate! And you’ve got me following another blog (Calmgrove). That review is great! 😃
Not to worry, Maria. It’s good to know you are following from the sidelines.
Chris Lovegrove’s blog is well worth following. His posts are always fascinating. 😊
Thanks, Paula. You have brought me to more than one fascinating blog!
I’ve started the month with a medieval poem – Cywydd y Cedor by Gwerfer Mechain – it’s a little racy 🙂

Great stuff, Brona. I have added a link to your post (above). Thank you so much! 😊
Fourth?! Congratulations!
Thank you, Marcie! 😀
Thank you for including my post in Features, Paula 🙂 I love the buzz of Dewithon. I have since added ‘Sugar and Slate’ by Charlotte Williams (coming in at number 6) and my library contacts are endeavouring to source a copy. I’ve certainly got enough to keep me going for a month or two!
It’s an absolute pleasure, Gretchen. Thank you. I hope you enjoy Sugar and Slate. 😊
Incidentally, I’m so sorry to hear about the flooding. I hope you weren’t completely washed out of your home. 😧
Thank you for asking, Paula, I appreciate it. We are on a hill and although areas around us went under, we remained above the flood line. The city and surrounding suburbs ground to a halt and commodities were scarce so we counted ourselves lucky to retain electricity. Massive clean-ups are underway amid the loss and sadness – the sun will shine again.
Dear me, whatever next? I’m so glad you escaped the flooding but it sounds extremely distressing. I went through something similar myself in the early ’90’s when Llandudno was inundated, so I completely understand what your community is going through. Thankfully you are correct. the sun does shine again, though it’s hard to recall it at such times. Big virtual hugs to you, Gretchen. 🤗🌺🌞
Thank you, Paula 🤗 and big hugs back at you! 🌴 🌞
Good luck with the move! Here is the Staircase Wit review for Carrie’s War by Nina Bawden: https://tinyurl.com/2tzjtavd
Thank you so much, Constance. I have linked back to your lovely review (above). 😊
Almost forgot to share my link! https://thegirdleofmelian.blogspot.com/2022/03/iwsg-day-dewi-sant-and-susanna.html
Thank you, Deniz. I very much appreciate the mention. 😊
Thanks for including my earlier review. Here is another, The Case of the Dotty Dowager by Cathy Ace.

Constance
I meant to add that it is a pity I used my favorite book set in Wales for the 1976 Club! But I am including the link because it is by an American author so perhaps not well known in Wales, although it did win a local award.

Brilliant! Thank you very much indeed, Constance. 😀
My contribution to #dewithon22 #readingwales22, with thanks to Booker Talk for alerting me to it…
Booker shortlisted in 2000, The Hiding Place by Trezza Azzopardi

Thank you so much, Lisa. I have linked to your review (above). 😀
Thanks, Paula, for next year, I’ll be investigating to see if I have any other Welsh authors ‘mislabelled as British’ !
Not sure whether this is a Feature or very Miscellaneous!

Oh, definitely a feature. Thank you so much, Constance! 😀
