Oh wow, you got to see Atwood, i am little jealous he he. Did you get your books signed?
Not tonight but I’m seeing her again tomorrow so will probably wait then.
Cool, I hope you get it. I can’t wait to see your signed copy 😊. Have fun!
Thank you! 😃
Oh gosh I remember you being excited for this! How was it?
Oh, it was superb. Atwood is so interesting!
So glad it was as good as expected
Cheering at a literary event! I’m attending vicariously through you, Paula, and loving it. Please blog a tiny mention if you happen to bump into any Jasper Fforde related material – my literary Welsh hero 🙂
I will do Gretchen.
Yes, so glad you are posting the updates. Such literary fun!!
Thanks Denise.
Atwood-wow- how wonderful that you got to see/hear her!
She was wonderful. Completely lived up to my expectations.
Ah, Margaret! So happy you got to see her! So jealous! I bet those tickets were like hens’ teeth!
You’re right there, Karen. The tent was packed to capacity. We waited in the Friends’ line for an hour before the event (glad we did because she walked right in front of us with her Handmaidens) and we were rewarded with central seats on row three. Perfect! I see her again tonight. 🤩
Whoever came up with the idea of having her enter surrounded by handmaidens was a genius……
I’m hoping I can get there on Friday – will you still be there?
Sad to say, this is my last full day – heading home tomorrow. The Handmaids were an idea of genius. Also quite unsettling. They were in town yesterday morning and created quite a spectacle!
Oh that would have been quite creepy
Loving these round-ups!!! And the about town pix too. Have you seen the bookart in the British Red Cross shop? Beautiful!
Thank you, Sarah. Yes, I spotted a very cleverly made wedding dress when passing the BRC shop yesterday. I must pop in and have a proper look.
I would love to browse through that “Books from Wales” shelf!
There are just so many books to browse, Naomi. It would take a lifetime!
Reblogged this on TheWebWeavers.
Many thanks indeed! 😊
