According to Sortir à Paris: “This fall, Moomin lovers, Parisians and residents of Île-de-France, or tourists just passing through the capital, will be smiling. For the first time in France, the Moumines are setting up in Paris in a pop-up shop ‘that invites young and old to discover the tender, poetic, and profoundly human universe created by Finnish author Tove Jansson’”.

Tove and the Moomins Exhibition in Kobe
“Kobe City Museum is hosting Tove and the Moomins this autumn, and the useful thing to know upfront is that it’s a Tove Jansson exhibition at least as much as a Moomin one — and that high-school students and younger get in free.” The exhibition is touring after Kobe. It goes to the Iwate Museum of Art from 26th December 2026 to 28th February 2027, then the Yokosuka Museum of Art from 13th March to 9th May 2027.”

Tove Jansson has her own dedicated space spanning three exhibition halls in the Helsinki Art Museum built around her frescoes ‘Party in the Countryside’ and ‘Party in the City’. “The inaugural exhibition centres on Jansson’s artistic family, with courage – inspired by Tove Jansson’s book Comet in Moominland – as its unifying theme.”

Enchanted by Klovharun – On the Island of Tove and Tuulikki
Chappe Gustav Wasas gata 11 10600 Ekenäs, Finland
The exhibition showcases some of Tove Jansson’s few sea-themed paintings and Tuulikki Pietilä’s prints that depict Klovharun. The photographs taken by visiting artists Erika Adamsson and Katja Syrjä provide a comprehensive view into the working life of the artists on a distant outer island in the Baltic Sea. In connection with the exhibition, a book will be published, with an article by non-fiction writer Sanna Nyqvist, Docent in Comparative Literature.
